    Welcome to Heresco Chiropractic!

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re not feeling your best—and you’re looking for help. We’re here for you.

My name is Joseph A. Shepro, DC. I’ve been practicing in Corvallis for over 12 years, including 9 years alongside Dr. Heresco until his retirement in 2021. As a lifelong chiropractic patient myself, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible difference it can make—from relieving everyday pain to helping athletes perform at their peak. Whether you’re simply trying to move through daily life with less pain or training for your next triathlon, chiropractic care can help you.

    About Heresco Chiropractic

Heresco Chiropractic has proudly served Corvallis for over 35 years under Dr. Heresco, and for more than 40 years before that under previous Corvallis chiropractors. Some of our patients are now in their 80s and have been receiving care here their entire lives. It’s truly inspiring to see the long-term benefits of chiropractic care across generations.

Our approach is mainstream, evidence-based chiropractic. We focus on your joints—why they hurt, and how to restore their health. On your first visit, we take time to thoroughly evaluate your condition and establish a clear diagnosis. The good news: most musculoskeletal complaints respond very well to chiropractic, with most patients noticing significant improvement within 2–4 weeks.

In addition to adjustments, we provide customized stretches, exercises, and recommendations to help you maintain your progress. If we determine you’d benefit from additional care, we’ll connect you with trusted providers in massage therapy, acupuncture, or physical therapy. Chiropractic may just be the missing piece in your wellness journey.

We also make care accessible. Our office accepts most insurance plans, including auto accidents and work injuries, and we offer discounted rates for students and seniors. Many patients enjoy the convenience of one co-pay for chiropractic, massage, and other therapies all in the same visit.

    About Me

I was born and raised in Alaska, where my father practiced chiropractic for many hardworking locals. Growing up, I played a variety of sports—especially football and track—and learned the value of staying healthy and strong.

I moved to Corvallis in 2001 to attend college and started my family here; both of my children were born in Corvallis. After graduating magna cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa in 2011, I returned to Alaska and served remote communities, traveling by small plane to reach them. It was an exciting and meaningful time, and I’d love to share those stories if you ask!

When my children reached school age, I returned to Corvallis for its excellent schools and strong sense of community. It has been a wonderful decision—my kids are now graduated from Crescent Valley and attending college in Oregon.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy exercising, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and playing games with my kids.

    Giving Back

I’m grateful every day to the people of Corvallis and the surrounding areas who support this busy little clinic. In return, I do everything I can to give back—whether through sponsorships, donations, gift baskets, or partnerships. If you’d like to connect about a community project, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for trusting us with your health. It’s an honor to live and practice in this wonderful community.

  • DrKennedy
    Dr. Jason Kennedy DC
    Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Kennedy was born and raised in Southern California. His first experience with chiropractic was as a senior in high school when he took a field trip to the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) in Whittier, CA. He was so impressed with the facilities and all of the things a Chiropractor could do, that he signed up for their weekend course to become Certified Chiropractic Assistant. It was during this course that he fell in love with the profession and decided to devote his life to it. Many years later, while in his first years of practice, he felt a call to service and enlisted in the United States Army.

After 4 years in the service he decided to further his education and enrolled in the Acupuncture program at his alma mater, now called Southern California University of Health Sciences (LACC). After he graduated with his Masters degree he moved to Oregon to experience all that life in the Pacific Northwest had to offer. (This was an easy decision as he had been visiting Keizer for about 5 years and just fell in love with the kindness of the people and the natural beauty of the area.)

Heresco Chiropractic allows Dr. Kennedy to care for his patients with compassion and to provide the kind of high quality health care that people deserve. He is able to give them his full attention and the best experience every single visit. Every day is a reminder that chiropractic care is a wonderful and powerful way of restoring function to peoples bodies and lives. At home Dr. Kennedy and his wife, Jill, has a very neurotic Australian Shepherd named Snickers and two alley cats, Princess and Pie, that love to go on walks and get a little too excited about other pets. Dr. Kennedy also loves to hike and just be in nature. He enjoys table top and card games and loves to spend time with friends.
