About Our Doctors

Peter Hartman, LMT
Born in rural New York, Peter was the middle of three children in a minister’s family. After moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico he started his career as a father and a construction professional.
Though Peter found house construction interesting and satisfying, he realized that working through continual discomfort was not conducive to his well-being and thus, when the opportunity arose in 2003, he enrolled in the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts massage program. There was also an added focus on Clinical Applications of Neuromuscular and Cranial Sacral Techniques.
Peter is a member of the International Massage Association, certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and Licensed by both New Mexico and Oregon Massage Therapy Boards.
Peter enjoys cooking, cycling, bicycle and automotive repair at his home in Lewisburg.
Peter has taken courses in computer drafting and Italian. And, he has also studied history and philosophy.
Peter’s Personal Philosophy
I use many different techniques to bring more optimal function and ease to movement. I feel the variety of styles I employ allow me to be effective in meeting my clients’ needs. I believe that our bodies are truly miraculous and include the wisdom of the Creator. During my treatments I feel that my job is largely to bring this body awareness to the current consciousness of my clients.
